William F. Beck (Little Falls, Minnesota; 1904–1966) was a Lutheran minister and translator of the Bible.〔Multi-Language Publications Newsletter ''Bringing the Written Word to the World''. Beck" (pdf )〕 He graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul in 1924, then Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1927, returning there to earn a Th.D. in 1956.〔Paul, William. 2003. Jefferson, NC and London: McFarland and Company.〕 His translation is the first complete translation of the Bible into English by a Lutheran. "To commemorate that achievement, a copy was placed in the Luther House in Wittenberg, Saxony, Germany on January 1, 1976. 〔Paul, William. 2003. "Beck, William F."
